It's never too early to start planning for your special event. Whatever the occasion we can be the location for all or a part of your special celebration. We can help with all the details while providing the perfect atmosphere for large or small gatherings. Dreaming of getting married on horseback? The Elk River Guest Ranch offers friendly, professional, western hospitality and everything you need for magnificent gatherings of friends, families or business functions. Outstanding location with a variety of event site options: Riverside along the banks of the blue ribbon water of the Elk River. High mountain meadow and aspen grove with panoramic mountain views. Silhouette Saloon and adjoining Promenade Yard. Vintage Pearl Dining Room. Accommodates groups up to 300 guests. Beautiful horses for trail rides or ceremonial celebrations with splendid horse drawn carriages, wagons and sleighs. Full premise liquor license with complete bar service. On-site Catering Service. Elegant tents, tepees and tasteful dining in the historic Pearl Guest House. Self-catering Cabins and Camping Sites available. The Elk River Guest Ranch is available by the day or longer. Located only 21 miles North of Steamboat Springs in the picturesque Elk River Canyon. You can cater your own event including table set-up and decorations or have us do all the work. There are many options you can choose from to create the ambiance, the menu and entertainment you would like to highlight your special occasion.

Liquor service must be provided through the Elk River Guest Ranch. An open bar, cash bar or cost-limiting bar can be arranged for all events. Bar service includes set-up, mixers, ice, plastic glassware, and a bartender:

The Elk River Guest Ranch has over 30 beautiful horses for trail rides or ceremonial celebrations. Carriages, wagons and sleighs can be reserved to transport guests to and from the celebration site. Garland and flowers can be added to horses' manes, wagons or carriages to add to the festivities.

IMPORTANT RANCH POLICIES:

No dogs are allowed. A deposit and signed contract is required to reserve the Elk River Guest Ranch. The location fee and cabin costs are required three months prior to the event date. Guaranteed guest numbers must be submitted three weeks prior to the event date. All known services such as: food, lodging, equine services and set-up costs must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event date. Please note, all charges for camping and cabin occupancy are the client's responsibility. Upon arrival an open and signed Visa or MasterCard is required to cover the remaining bill such as alcohol consumption, increases in cabin or camping occupancy and other miscellaneous expenses. This bill will be finalized prior to the designated departure date. A 17% gratuity and 4% tax will be added to the final bill. Two hours of consultation is included in the location fee. Any further time needed may be billed at $50/hour and a 10% coordination fee will be added to the cost of any off-site amenity or activity arranged. Event Cancellation Policy is as follows: Cancellation for any reason within 3 months of the designated event date forfeits the deposit and location fee. The Elk River Guest Ranch will make every effort to refill guaranteed cabin space. If this is accomplished, cabin deposits will be returned minus a $100 cancellation fee. If cabin space is not refilled, cabin deposits are forfeited. All expenses associated with planning or set-up, such as liquor and food ordered specifically for the event, may also be forfeited. No pets are allowed on the premises at any time. Event alcoholic beverages must be supplied by the Elk River Guest Ranch. Guests in your party may make individual reservations for horseback rides or other scheduled activities. Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, MasterCard, Travelers Checks or Cash.
