| PROGRAM INFORMATION: Six-day boarding program includes all meals, housing, and activities. Up to twenty participants with a high ratio of counselors to children (1:3 for horse related activities;1:7 for other activities). Children stay in modernized cabins with counselor supervisors. The program costs $900/child ages 8 to 14 years old.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Elk River Guest Ranch was established in 1950 as a mountain retreat for families and kids from all over the United States. Spectacularly situated on the banks of the upper Elk River and backed up to the magnificent Routt National Forest and Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area, the Elk River Guest Ranch offers an outstanding environment for children. In it's long standing tradition of providing safe, fun western wilderness experiences, the Elk River Guest Ranch is offering it's annual summer camp session. The focus of the summer camp is western horsemanship and wilderness appreciation. Daily horseback rides, hikes and other activities are designed to be fun as well as educational. Transportation to and from the airports in Denver may be arranged for an additional charge. |
