No matter what the season, the Elk River Guest Ranch is a spectacular setting for picnics,special events, family reunions or business retreats. Onsite catering can be arranged for private parties and special events. Throughout the summer and fall season, evening horseback or wagon rides include drinks in the Ranch's Silhouette Saloon and a bonfire roast of healthy hotdogs, brats and old fashioned s'mores. Full bar service is available after the afternoon and evening trail rides. You're welcome to bring a picnic or enjoy one of our lunch rides or the evening bonfire roast. All horse related activities are fun and scenic with high mountain trails that allow you to experience the magnificence and variety of terrain of the Rocky Mountains. Horseback rides take you deep into the forest through lush aspen and fern groves, wildflower studded hillsides and majestic pines. You'll be delighted by the fabulous views overlooking the Elk River, the Continental Divide and Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area.Trail rides are available throughout the season. Choose between 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour, half-day to the Beaver Ponds with a snack or full day to Pearl Lake with lunch.
